Letter To My Mum On Her Birthday By Kingsmith Akinwale

Letter To My Mum On Her Birthday.

Dear Momuchi,

Happy Birthday! 🎉

As I sit down to write this, my heart is full of gratitude, love, and a deep sense of admiration for the incredible woman you are. This letter is a small token of appreciation for everything you’ve done for me over the years—your sacrifices, your unwavering support, and the boundless love that has shaped me into who I am today.

The Sacrifices You’ve Made

From the early mornings you left for work, to the late nights you stayed up to make sure we were okay, you have always put our needs before your own. I remember the countless times you skipped your own comforts—whether it was giving up that new dress, obtaining additional qualifications, postponing your dreams or even getting our Christmas wears as early as September so you could pay up before the eventual Xmas day—just so we could have a better future. Those sacrifices were never loud or flashy, but they were profound, and they taught me the true meaning of selflessness.

Your Strength and Resilience

You are, without a doubt, one of the strongest people I know. Life hasn’t always been kind, but you faced every challenge with courage, dignity, and an unbreakable spirit. Your resilience in the face of adversity has been a guiding light for me, showing me that no obstacle is too big when we meet it with determination and hope. Your strength isn’t just in what you’ve endured, but in how you’ve turned those experiences into lessons of perseverance and grace.

The Values You’ve Instilled in Me

Your kindness, humility, and generosity have left an indelible mark on my character. You taught me the importance of treating others with respect, the power of a gentle word, and the value of hard work. The compassion you show to everyone—family, friends, and even strangers—has inspired me to strive to be a better person every day. Your wisdom has guided me through life’s toughest decisions, and your laughter has brightened even the darkest days.

My Promise to You

Momuchi, as I stand on the foundation you’ve built for me, I want you to know that I will always strive to make you proud. I promise to honor your sacrifices by living a life of purpose, integrity, and love. I will work hard, cherish every moment, and never forget the values you’ve instilled in me. No matter where life takes me, I will carry your lessons with me and aim to be a source of joy and pride for you, just as you have been for me.

On this special day, I want to celebrate you—my hero, my confidante, my guiding star and my angel. May this year bring you peace, happiness, and all the love you so richly deserve. Thank you for being the extraordinary mother you are. I love you more than words can ever ever express.

*With all my love and endless gratitude,

Kingsmith Akinwale(Mopikin)
