Never Mistake Attendance For Alliance By Kingsmith Akinwale

"Never mistake attendance for alliance; everybody with you is not for you."

One of the most important lessons we learn as we grow in life, business, and leadership is that proximity does not always equal loyalty.

Just because people are present during your journey does not mean they are invested in your success. Some will celebrate your victories, while others will simply observe them. Some will encourage your growth, while others will quietly resent it. Some will walk beside you because they believe in your vision, while others are merely passing through until something more beneficial comes along.

The truth is;

Attendance is easy.

Alliance is costly.

Attendance requires presence.

Alliance requires commitment.

Attendance shows up when the weather is favorable.

Alliance remains when the storms arrive.

Many people will gather around success because success is attractive. They will applaud when you are winning, congratulate you when doors are opening, and smile when opportunities are flowing. But genuine allies reveal themselves when challenges arise, when setbacks occur, and when there is nothing immediate to gain from standing beside you.

This is why wisdom is not measured by how many people surround you but by how well you discern who truly stands with you.

As you pursue your goals, build your career, grow your business, or chase your dreams, pay attention to actions more than words. True supporters do not merely attend your events; they contribute to your growth. They do not just praise your accomplishments; they challenge you to become better. They do not disappear when circumstances become difficult; they become more visible.

Life will introduce you to three kinds of people:

Those who support your success.

Those who tolerate your success.

And those who secretly compete with your success.

Learning the difference is one of the greatest forms of emotional intelligence.

This does not mean becoming suspicious of everyone around you. Rather, it means developing the wisdom to appreciate every relationship for what it truly is. Not everyone is called to be a confidant. Not everyone is meant to be a partner in your purpose. Not everyone deserves unrestricted access to your vision.

Protect your energy.

Protect your dreams.

Protect your focus.

Surround yourself with people who celebrate your growth, speak truth when you need correction, encourage you when you feel discouraged, and remain loyal when circumstances become uncomfortable.

Remember, greatness is rarely achieved alone, but it is never sustained by the wrong company.

The quality of your circle often determines the quality of your future.

Choose wisely.

Trust carefully.

Lead courageously.

And never confuse those who are merely present with those who are genuinely committed to your journey.

Because everybody with you is not necessarily for you, but the right allies can help you become everything you were created to be.

Until I write you again, my friend, may you have the wisdom to recognize genuine alliance, the courage to release false attachments, and the determination to keep chasing your greatness.
