Letter To My Wife On Our 9th Wedding Anniversary.
My Duchess,
Happy 9th wedding anniversary to us. Today, my heart is full as I look back on the beautiful journey that began in the most unexpected place—a bank. Who could have imagined that a simple moment, routine days, and a series of exchange would become the foundation of a lifetime together? We started small, with nothing but hope, faith, and a stubborn belief in each other. And truly, that was enough.
From those early days, we faced challenges that could have broken us—but instead, they shaped us. We struggled, we learned, we fought through storms side by side. Every setback taught us something; every victory reminded us why we chose each other. And slowly, things began to get better. Our dreams that once felt so far away started taking shape. Our home grew warmer, our hearts grew deeper, and the life we prayed for began to unfold before our eyes.
But the greatest blessing of all—the one that makes every sacrifice worth it—is our children. They are the purest evidence of our love, the biggest rewards of our union, and the future we are building with gratitude and joy. Watching them grow, laugh, and become their own little selves has been the most beautiful part of this adventure.
As we step into another year together, I look forward with confidence, knowing the best is still ahead of us. We’ve built something strong, something real, something rooted in love, faith, and perseverance. And with God on our side, there is nothing we cannot conquer.
To anyone reading this, hoping to get married someday—may our story remind you that love doesn’t need to start grand; it just needs to start true. Marriage is not about perfection—it’s about partnership. It’s about choosing each other every day, even when life gets hard. It’s about building, growing, forgiving, dreaming, and holding on. And when you find the right person, every challenge becomes a chapter, not a conclusion.
Oyinmi, thank you for walking this path with me. Thank you for believing in us even on days when the road felt long. Thank you for your strength, your patience, your love, and your unwavering support. Here’s to more years of laughter, growth, peace, and blessings.
Happy anniversary, my baby.
Your Duke,
Kingsmith Akinwale David-Saga-The Ambassador.
